The Second Annual Mary Bird Perkins at TGMC Open will take place at Ellendale Country Club April 2–7 and will once again feature the Adams Golf Pro Tour Series.

Proceeds will benefit Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at TGMC.

Although last year was the first time the Adams Golf Pro Tour Series partnered with Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at TGMC, the tour has been coming to Houma since 2005.

“I think this is one of those events that the pros look for each year when we release the tour schedule,” Tyler Wolford, tour director, said. “We have always received positive feedback from players about the course layout, local hospitality and just a good impression of the event.”

The Taste of the Tournament Par-Tee and Auction will kick off the week’s festivities on April 2 at 6:30 p.m. The event will feature some of the area’s most delicious local cuisine, music and a silent auction.

The Pro-Am takes place April 3 and is in the form of a four-man shamble with three amateur golfers and an Adams Tour pro per team.
