18-year-old Jessica Korda earned her 1st career LPGA Tour win at the ISPA Hanada Woman’s Australian Open at Royal Melbourne after a dramatic six-player playoff (the six-player playoff was the largest in LPGA Tour history).
The top six players included Jessica Korda, Brittany Lincicome, Stacy Lewis, Julieta Granada, So Yeon Ryu and Hee Kyung Seo.
Golf Fuel Team Member Brittany Lincicome (she uses Golf Fuel mental focus products before and during every round and has our logo on her towel during play), made a strong charge to force the playoff and had an opportunity to win in the first extra hole.
Lincicome’s 6-foot birdie try circled the cup and stayed out. “I couldn’t have hit it any better,” Lincicome said. “It was perfect, perfect speed… Lips out and comes back to you.” With the miss the playoff continued for another hole.
In the second playoff hole Lincicome also narrowly missed a 15-foot birdie. “Same thing on the second putt, hit it exactly where I wanted to hit it and it just didn’t break,” Lincicome said. Moments later Korda sunk a 25-foot birdie putt from the top of the green to earn her the title.

Brittany won two tournaments last year using Golf Fuel products and it looks to be another dominating year for her in 2012 with a second place finish in the first tournament.
